Dead City Radio is the story of Jason Whitehouse, the people he meets, and their ordeals in Pittsburgh during the summer of 1997.

DCR is (currently) Book One of Among The Chosen (though it's more like book three or four, making The Dualist book four or five, etc) and takes place approximately five years before the events of The Dualist. The comic is designed to be published in strip/serialized "alpha" form at the Dead City Radio website, and in polished/complete form a chapter at a time at the ATC website.

Whitehouse is the king of social engineering, the crown prince of noise, and the duke of the obscure. He's all about industrial, electronic, ambient, punk, metal and goth music, and has a well-researched interest in radio and telecommunications- while school is in session, Jason runs an ultra-low-powered unlicensed radio station - dubbed Dead City Radio - at 88.9 on the FM dial. He uses the station to inflict his musical taste on others, though he does broadcast school news and the occasional request.

Whitehouse spent most of the 80s as an Army brat in Europe and Japan, which is how his musical taste - and attitude - developed. He chose Pittsburgh for school due to its supposed "convenience."

	Curtis From : Deliverance, West Virginia. Major : IDT Location : Allegheny Center, 608. Curtis is the archetypical geek - he sleeps on a matress padded with back issues of X-Men, he has every episode of Macross, every published volume of the Robotech RPG, and he spends his rendering time hacking out new Mekton designs. Like Whitehouse, Curtis is a few years older than most of the 'gheny residents - he rooms with Jason for the amusement factor and the lack of high school bullshit the two of them have created in room 608.
	Heinrich Von Lutz From : The Holy Land of Michigan. Major : Multimedia Location : Allegheny Center, 10th floor. Heinrich is stuck with the worst roommate in recorded history. He doesn't much care for Pittsburgh, but he doesn't mind the company - Heinrich plays Dunegons & Dragons with Curtis and discusses the mod scene, electronic music, and console emulation with Whitehouse.
	Sean From : Hershey, PA. Major : Visual Communications Location : A very small apartment in Oakland. Sean is the Don of the local Mac Mafia, having access to or knowledge about every single piece of Apple equipment and MacOS software in the school. He's more than willing to share his expertise and resources if the price is right.
